Pietential is not subject to HIPAA for its standard offering. Pietential is not a covered entity and does not act as a business associate. The service does not provide healthcare services and does not collect or process protected health information, including mental health information.

MyMazlow only reflects a user’s wellbeing survey score and points to general wellbeing resources such as meditation and time management content. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice, including mental health advice. Pietential does not conduct HIPAA standard transactions.

Because we do not handle PHI on behalf of a covered entity, HIPAA does not apply to the product as offered. Pietential complies with applicable privacy and security laws that do apply, including United States state consumer privacy laws and India’s DPDP Act.
