About Pietential

What If Wellbeing Were Visible, Understandable, and Actionable?
Because you care deeply about the wellbeing of your people, you should have a clearer way to understand the patterns affecting them. And they should have private tools to understand, monitor, and improve their own wellbeing.

“Everything is downstream of wellbeing.”

Founder & CEO, Pietential

That belief is at the heart of Pietential: helping people improve their wellbeing, strengthening the organizations and communities they are part of, and ultimately contributing to a better world.
For us, that’s what it’s all about. Wellbeing for All.
Our Origin Story
From a Kitchen-Table Initiative …

Pietential first took shape in 2019 around a simple belief: people need a clearer way to
visualize, understand, and reckon with their own wellbeing so they can improve it—and
everyone should have access to that self-knowledge, regardless of their means.

What started as a kitchen-table peace project—Pietential—has grown into a science-backed, independent system providing personal wellbeing intelligence for individuals and Wellbeing Risk Intelligence for organizations.

Pietential was built on the belief that the growth of an organization begins with the growth of its people.

What Drives Us

OUR VISION

Wellbeing For All

We envision a world where people can visualize, understand, and improve their wellbeing — and where organizations have the independent intelligence they need to support people with evidence, empathy, and purpose.

OUR MISSION

To Help People Measure What Matters

Our mission is to help individuals, teams, organizations, and communities better understand the five holistic wellbeing domains that shape their lives — and to turn that insight into meaningful growth, better support, and measurable outcomes.

OUR VALUES

What We Stand For

Pietential is a democratizing force for personal, organizational, community, and global wellbeing. We believe wellbeing begins with the individual — and that better insight can help people, leaders, and communities act with greater clarity, equity, resilience, and care.

How We Make a Difference

A Triple Bottom Line
Pietential operates with three bottom lines in mind: measurable social impact, ethical profitability, and broader access to wellbeing intelligence.

Positive Societal Impact

Helping people and organizations visualize, understand, and improve wellbeing at scale.

Ethical Profitability

Creating value for mission, markets, customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Wellbeing for All

Expanding access to wellbeing insight regardless of income, geography, or circumstance.

Backed by Science.
Built for Insight.

Pietential follows APA testing standards and is built around a validated Holistic Wellbeing Index (HWI) developed by a team of psychologists, social workers, and outside psychometricians.

Scientifically Constructed

Pietential’s scientific development is guided by a team of psychologists, social workers, medical doctors, life and business coaches, and psychometricians committed to rigorous, science-backed wellbeing measurement.

Empirically Supported

Pietential’s Holistic Wellbeing Index is a psychometrically validated and reliable measure of holistic wellbeing across the five domains that shape individual wellbeing.

Time Tested

Grounded in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and more than 80 years of human wellbeing research, Pietential brings established theory into a modern intelligence platform for people, organizations, and measurable outcomes.
