Chelsea Spencer Smith is the founder of The St. James Xavier Group and has over 20 years of experience in executive sales and business development. During her corporate sales career in animal health, Chelsea consistently grew her territory sales year over year. She generated new business by leveraging key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), executing strategic plans, and increasing the impact of her clients’ value-added services with social media, product education, and innovative customer-centric programs that increased product awareness.
In 2016, Chelsea’s passion for business and entrepreneurial spirit inspired her to launch her consulting firm, The St. James Xavier Group (SJX). The founding principles of SJX help clients increase profitability by developing the self-discovery of their contributors, teams, and leaders. In addition, to customized programs and services, business leaders engage SJX for Business Development, Executive Coaching, Young Professional Coaching, and Leadership Development.
Chelsea is a Notre Certified Expert Facilitator and member of the Notre Internationale. Notre is The Self-Awareness Company focused on helping individuals, teams, and organizations learn how to practice healthy behaviors. As a skilled and practiced facilitator, she knows how to foster and build team dynamics, an essential ingredient in forming productive and motivated employees. In addition, Chelsea expertly creates welcoming and inclusive environments among groups with differing perspectives, experiences, and goals that range in size from small client engagements to large group deliveries.
Chelsea has a deep passion for community service. She serves on several organizations, including Fundamentally Sound Sports (FSS), Sub Saharan Education Project (SSEP)-Dreambuilders Advisory Leadership Board, KnightLights Sports Article at Pace Academy, and Augustus Redefined. She is on the board of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) as the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.
Chelsea is a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a graduate of Strayer University with a Master in Business Administration (MBA). Chelsea has several certifications ranging from the College of Executive Coaching (CPC), Certified Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), Certified Practitioner of MBTI Step I and Step II Instruments, Certified in Dimensions of Professional Selling. As a member of the Forbes Coaches Council, Chelsea participates in expert panels and publishes leadership articles that appear on Forbes.com Council pages.
