AI Compute Pricing:

The price of compute for AI products continues to fall rapidly therefore it is very difficult to accurately make any realistic estimates on costs for the next year or two because of the fluctuation and the rapid changing of the environment. 

 

AI App warning:

Be careful installing any apps connected to state governments including the US and China. Instead use the browser interface without installing any apps on your devices. There are experts that have very serious concerns about recent Chinese language models that have been in the news and it’s not 100% clear on exactly what ties they have to the Chinese Communist party and other state agencies. I also have concerns about AI apps that originate from the United States as there’s the possibility that the United States may be heading for a period of political and civil unrest so just something to keep in mind.

 

OpenAI deep research:

OpenAI said it’s making deep research available to ChatGPT Pro users today, limited to 100 queries per month, with support for Plus and Team users coming next, followed by Enterprise. (OpenAI is targeting a Plus rollout in about a month from now, the company said, and the query limits for paid users should be “significantly higher” soon.) It’s a geo-targeted launch; OpenAI had no release timeline to share for ChatGPT customers in the U.K., Switzerland, and the European Economic Area.
