- 01S4A- No intentes formule oraciones completas.
- 01S5I: You’re ‘discovering what’s already here!’ It’s like drilling a well to find the water at the core of your being. Once you’ve found it and installed pipes, you can turn on the tap anytime to let it flow freely.
- 01S5J: Use this exercise to reconnect strongly with the lived experience you are recalling, even if it feels like a distant memory.
How to practice over time-
- Over the next few days and weeks, make conscious efforts to notice anytime you experience one or more of these qualities/feelings, no matter how briefly.
- Pause to breathe that moment in. Give it your full attention; let it touch your heart.
- Appreciate that it came to you and that you noticed it. Rejoice in that and be grateful for it.
- Ask yourself how you could be more open to noticing these moments.
- Later in the day, come back to this moment, giving it your full attention with gratitude and curiosity.
- Do this two or three times. Don’t try to analyze it yet; just focus on the actual experience and the sense of appreciation.
- Finally, spend some time thinking about the conditions surrounding that moment. What kinds of circumstances might have contributed to putting you in touch with the experience?
- Here are a few things to be mindful of-
- Don’t try to figure out or recreate these moments; just notice what kinds of things accompanied that moment, inwardly and outwardly.
- You may start to notice patterns, but try not to make them solid.
- Simply observe them and trust your deeper intuition to reveal the lessons you need to learn with time.
Benefits of this exercise
The point here is to become confident that these qualities (love, courage, wholeness, connection, worthiness, peace, etc.) are within you and available to you. With practice, you can access them anytime. It is important to note that little moments that remind you of these experiences happen more frequently than you realize. The world sends you these messages all the time if you are paying attention.
Many of us are sleep-walking through much of our lives, semi-conscious. But you can wake up and notice what you’ve been missing. Noticing these moments gives you an opportunity to taste the flavor of Autorealización, which is a natural part of who you are, instead of something that needs to be manufactured. And you can develop trust in the power of these moments and experiences to guide your inner self and grow.
Self-Actualization- 21-40% – 2
2- Coming Home – A Journey of Small, Consistent Steps- 02 KHUSHI
Lo que necesitas para empezar
1- Find time and space to be alone and reflect for 10-20 minutes.
2- Pen and paper are optional.
Pasos
1- Begin by connecting with your true sense of self.
How can you connect with it? Start with your body:
- 02S1A: Shake off the tension in your limbs and body for a few seconds and let your body rest.
- 02S1B: Sit down and settle into a posture that is comfortable but confident and dignified.
- 02S1C: Lift your head and shoulders up slightly (without forcing it) to connect with natural confidence.
- 02S1D: Let your back be straight but not rigid to connect with strength and determination.
- 02S1E: Let your chest be open and relaxed to connect with the gentleness and courage of your heart.
- 02S1F: Breathe naturally.
2- Now, let’s understand what we mean by “your true sense of self?”
- 02S2A: Your true sense of self has many aspects and qualities, out of which, we will focus on three for this exercise. Your True Self has a quality of Innocence y Contentment while being Unfabricated (authentic).
- 02S2B: Unfabricated – It’s not something you have to create or become, it’s unfabricated. It’s who you already are and have always been.
- 02S2C: Your true self isn’t the stories you (or others) tell about you, but the being you truly are or were before those stories came about. It does not reflect your personality, it’s more foundational than that.
- 02S2D: Innocence– The childlike quality that you share with all living beings of simply wanting to be happy, to love, and be loved.
- 02S2E: The wish to be accepted and acknowledged for the unique gifts you have to offer, and for those gifts to be received by the world.
- 02S2F: Contentment– A sense of being relaxed and at ease with yourself and with your place in the world.
- 02S2G: Knowing that you are worthy to be on this earth, to be happy and fulfilled, as are all others.
3- Now, take some time to contemplate the benefits of remembering and the cost of forgetting your True Self.
- 02S3A: Allow yourself to taste the joy and power of that simple, original state of being—unfabricated, innocent, and content.
- 02S3B: Allow yourself to taste the grief of separation and disconnection from that.
- 02S3C: Without falling into a story, just acknowledge:
- The reality of your true being.
- The experience of separation.
- The longing to return to your original, unfabricated state of innocence and contentment.
- o2S3D: There is a path to wholeness and a path to separation.
4- Now that you understand it, reflect on all that you need to cultivate and abandon.
Choose the Path to Wholeness
- o2S4A: Without judgment, identify two small behaviors that you have—in thought, action, or speech-
- o2S4B: One that increases the sense of connection or opens up space for you to connect with your innocent self.
reference
- o2S4C: One that you can clearly notice increases the sense of separation from your innocent self.
- o2S4D: You may want to write them down and make a conscious effort to execute the following.
- o2S4E: Form a strong wish and determination to:
- Stop doing the one thing that separates you from your natural, true self;
- To start doing the one thing that helps you connect with it.
- o2S4F: Commit to becoming aware and noticing when you have a choice to do or not do the things you have identified.
- o2S4G: Commit to being consistent and following through on your intentions (these could be among the first things you identify).
5- Without judgment or expectation, focus on this practice for one week.
Some advice to keep in mind:
- o2S5A: Make sure to choose relatively small and manageable commitments, especially in the beginning. Big results come from small actions repeated over time.
- o2S5B: Don’t be critical if you aren’t perfect, we aren’t. And don’t be too excited if you feel you are doing well. Acknowledge yourself with honesty.
- o2S5C: Notice how it feels and honor that feeling; don’t add judgment to it or build a narrative around it.
- o2S5D: Allow yourself to grieve when you fall short and recommit. Allow yourself to rejoice deeply when you succeed and use that rejoicing as fuel to go further.
6- Two insights are the keys to this practice.
- o2S6A: The actions that you identify do not make you good or bad, and they are not permanent. Rather, they help you connect to or separate from your True Self.
- 02S6B: Your True Self is always there, unstained, waiting for your return. It may take less or more time if you are closer or farther away. But you can always return. And the more often you practice, the easier it gets.
- o2S6C: Small actions repeated many times consistently will have a bigger impact and be more sustainable in the long run than trying to make big changes all at once. Patience, perseverance, and consistency are the key.
How to practice over time-
After one week, if you feel your new, conscious behaviors are relatively stable:
- Do the reflection again with two new behaviors while keeping a commitment to continue with the ones you have already accomplished.
- Don’t rush it. If you feel you need more time, take two or three weeks before moving on to the next set of behaviors.
- You may find it helpful to journal the challenges, successes, and setbacks you encounter. This might help you learn more about the way your mind and behavior work, and keep track of the insights you gain along the way.
- Sometimes, you can focus on just contemplating the three qualities of being—unfabricated, innocence, and contentment. They are also doorways to enter the state of authentic being and markers to recognize when you are in touch with your True Self. Think deeply about all three of them.
- Other times, you can focus on Step 2 to heighten the contrast of connection and separation from your True Self and increase your longing to return by understanding how important it is to experience happiness and fulfillment.
- Benefits of this exercise:
This is a life practice that you can continue for as long as you’re alive. It’s not just about getting results, but also about forgiveness, acceptance, starting over again, not giving up, learning to rejoice, and celebrating small feats. You’ll learn to be both honest and compassionate toward yourself and others. Gradually, you’ll become more familiar with your True Self—what brings you in touch with it or separates you from it. Applying this knowledge and deepening your commitment to the unfabricated authenticity of your True Self will greatly enhance your journey towards self-actualizing.
Self-Actualization- 41-60% -3
3- Integrity: The Key to Self-Actualization- 03 Aashna
Lo que necesitas para empezar
- Time and space to be with yourself and reflect for 20 to 30 minutes.
- A pen and paper for making notes may be helpful.
- This exercise can be done in one session if you have time, or in two or three sessions over several days.
Pasos
- What is integrity, and why is it important?
- o3S1A: Integrity means to be in alignment; it means having your actions, words, and thoughts consistent with one another and integrated with the deeper values of your True Self.
- o3S1B: It’s not a pretense or an act we put on for others. How we behave when we are alone, and no one else is watching matters as much as what other people see. Are we putting on a show for people or being authentic? Integrity is the latter.
- o3S1C: Integrity creates internal peace and harmony.
- o3S1D: Your presence has the power to bring peace and harmony to your environment.
- o3S1E: Be honest with yourself—you have nothing to hide. There’s no self-deception, so you are naturally honest and reliable with others.
- o3S1F: Without integrity, there is confusion and discord.
- o3S1F: Dis-integration is debilitating; your presence is weakened by internal conflict and confusion. Being at odds with yourself creates chaos and confusion in your environment.
- o3S1H: You can’t be fully honest with others if you aren’t honest with yourself. There will always be something to hide because you are hiding from yourself.
2- Integrity is its own reward.
- o3S2A: Having integrity has intrinsic value—you do it for yourself, not to get something from other people.
- o3S2B: People value someone with integrity for their strength of character, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- o3S2C: As a byproduct, it will earn you a place of honor in your community and increase your sense of love and belonging.
- o3S2D: Each moment becomes an opportunity to experience the unfolding of Self-Actualization, like a blooming flower.
- o3S2E: “Integrity is, Choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.” – Brené Brown
3- Being true to your values means being true to your Authentic Self, not the artificial self.
- o3S3A: You cannot have integrity as long as you are trying (or pretending) to be somebody different from who you are.
- o3S3B: Your true values flow naturally from your Authentic Self.
- o3S3C: As long as you are identified with the artificial self, most of your values and goals are likely to be learned and imposed through external conditioning.
- o3S3D: You will spend much of your life pursuing things that don’t truly reflect your own values and aspirations.
- o3S3E: Many people are not truly satisfied or fulfilled because they work so hard to achieve things that don’t hold real meaning for them, often only trying to meet other people’s expectations.
- o3S3F: To be true to your Authentic Self, you must first know your Authentic Self.
4- Now, you’re ready to explore your true values by stepping beyond the artificial self and connecting with your Authentic Self.
- o3S4A: This brief exercise will help you reconnect with the essence of Authenticity.
- o3S4B: Let go of the labels, beliefs, and stories of the imaginary, artificial self; become aware of your body and environment, the physical sensations, and sense perceptions of your present experience. Don’t identify with the body as yourself, either. Simply allow the sensations and perceptions to naturally come and go.
- o3S4C: Consider that you are a human being, like so many others in the past, present, and future, sharing this earth with countless other living beings. This is the universal aspect of your Authentic Self, the common aspect shared with all beings.
- o3S4D: Now consider that your experiences, sensations, and perceptions are completely unique to you and this moment. Realize that no other being ever has or ever will look out onto the world under these exact conditions, nor look inward onto the sensations of body, mind, and emotion that are yours alone. This is the unique, personal aspect of your Authentic Self.
- o3S4E: Finding integrity is about using the situations you encounter to explore the Authentic Self and see how the universal aspect wants to emerge in response to the ever-changing conditions of your life in the form of the unique, personal aspect of your Authentic Self. It’s an essentially playful and creative act, not a burdensome chore.
5- It’s time to explore who your Authentic Self wants you to be, and realize the life and values you want to be in integrity with.
- o3S5A: Imagine this undefined presence of your Authentic Self as a field with many seeds of potential and possibility waiting to unfold, revealing a new person for you to know.
- o3S5B: Invite this new person with questions:
- Who are you… really?
- What is important to you? What truly brings you happiness and joy?
- o3S5C: What do you want to serve with your life?
- What is the most important motivation behind whatever you do?
- Who/how do you want to be with other people? How do you want to “show up?”
- o3S5D: Don’t pressure yourself to find the answers.
- o3S5E: Just hold the questions in mind. Let them ripple into your mind like a small stone dropped into the water, and wait patiently to see what comes back. Listen to yourself with your whole being.
- o3S5F: If your heart is used to being suppressed and ignored, it will take some time for it to open up y for you to learn how to listen.
- o3S5G: The answers may not be words; they may be images, song lyrics, memories, or anything. Whatever it is, you’ll recognize it because you can feel your heart.
- o3S5H: Take notes, write a poem, or draw a picture if you want—anything to help you process the newfound experience. To begin, just choose two or three items to focus your curiosity on.
- o3S5I: Don’t think too much about what comes up. Don’t try to analyze it, come up with plans, or do anything to make the discovery concrete. Just hold it gently in your heart with curiosity. Let it reveal itself in time, like a growing child or a plant.
- o3S5J: You can continue with the rest of the exercise if you have time, or return and finish in another session.
6- What are the core values that you want to guide your life?
What wants to grow from the garden of Authenticity?
- o3S6A: The answers from Step 4 are seeds that your values can grow from. Like a tree trunk, those core values will root you to the ground of authenticity and allow your True Self to express itself, grow strong, and flourish.
- o3S6B: Choose one of the “seeds” from Step 4 to work with. Hold it in mind and let it touch your heart.
- o3S6C: Ask yourself:
- How does this seed want to grow in me?
- What do I need to do inwardly and outwardly to nurture and help it grow?
- 03S6D: What needs to change? How do I have to shift my priorities to stop neglecting this seed that wants to grow and care for it?
- What word—or several—would describe what wants to grow from this seed, or what would help it grow?
- o3S6E: Choose just two or three words, such as:
- Service, creativity, play, love, relationships, health, justice, generosity, discipline, loyalty, meaningful work, spirituality, community, simplicity, freedom, connection, balance, etc.
7- Finally, bring your authentic values forward to shape your behavior, so your Authentic Self can express itself.
Examine yourself, your attitudes, and behaviors.
- o3S7A: Find habits that are inconsistent with your core values and prevent integrity.
- o3S7B: These habits of the artificial self keep you in a state of dis-integration.
- o3S7C: Regret is a clue of behaviors that take you out of integrity. It’s a natural and healthy response to turning away from and losing touch with your True Self that brings you back to integrity and Self-Actualization.
- o3S7D: Reflect on the behaviors and mental/emotional patterns that are consistent with the core values you’ve identified and will help them grow stronger.
- o3S7E: It’s crucial that this examination includes an honest but nonjudgmental look at your habits of thoughts and emotions!
- o3S7F: As you practice them consistently, your Authentic Self will manifest more fully.
- o3S7G: How you experience yourself and others experience you will be in accord with your True Self and your core values.
8- Cultivate the garden of your True Self.
Make a sincere commitment to integrity by,
- o3S8A: Staying in touch with your Authentic Self. Keep the connection fresh and alive through the regular practice of this exercise and Authenticity.
- o3S8B: Letting go of misidentification with the artificial self and the patterns of thoughts, words, and actions that maintain it and prevent authenticity.
- o3S8C: Practicing and training—like an athlete or a musician—the behaviors that support the flourishing of your Authentic Self and bring you into integrity with it.
- o3S8D: In particular,
- Imagine yourself encountering difficult situations and people that challenge your commitment to integrity and tempt you to fall back into patterns of dis-integration. Especially, pay attention to behaviors that emerge when you’re alone.
- o3S8E: In particular,
Rehearse meeting those challenges in a way that maintains integrity inwardly (mental and emotional) and outwardly (speech and actions).
- o3S8F:This part of the journey requires the conscious intention to remember who you are, what’s important to you, and the courage to enact it.
How to practice over time-
- Do this exercise regularly, working with just two or three “seeds” for several weeks or months.
- Repeat Steps 5, 6, and 7 regularly, focusing on one “seed” at a time.
- You can repeat Step 4 anytime to look for more “seeds,” but it’s good to initially focus on just two or three “seeds” for several weeks, months, or even years. Cultivating these important aspects of the deeper self is the heart of life’s journey.
- In brief, always work to let go of the artificial self, connect with your Authentic Self, cultivate behaviors that bring integrity, and let go of those that violate it.
- As this gets more natural, you won’t need to rely on formal exercise anymore.
Benefits of this exercise:
You will start to live your life instead of trying to fit yourself into someone else’s idea of who you should be. You will begin to live a life free of regret because regret is the result of turning away from, and not being in integrity with, your Authentic Self.
Integrity doesn’t guarantee worldly success (neither does conforming to the artificial self); it ensures your efforts will be aligned with what truly matters to you. Whatever the outcome, it will be more fulfilling than success in the projects of the artificial self.
Your life will unfold as a journey of discovery by asking what integrity means in a given situation or moment. Understand how your True Self reveals itself and what it asks of you. You’ll live with true spontaneity, not according to a preconceived formula.
Challenges and temptations will become powerful opportunities for discovery as you come into greater integrity instead of threats. It’s not about perfection; mistakes are part of the journey.
It’s not about other people; it’s about you! It’s about your relationship with yourself, and being honest and true to yourself. Are you the same person when you are alone compared to when other people can see you? Addressing this gap is the essence of integrity.
Self-Actualization- 61-80%- 4
4- Contentment: You Don’t Need to Be Something You’re Not- 04, KHUSHI
What you need to begin:
- 20 minutes for quiet reflection.
- A commitment to free yourself from trying to be something you’re not and allowing your True Self to unfold and flourish.
Steps-
- Self-Actualization isn’t about achieving something outside yourself.
- 04S1A: In the beginning, this can be a helpful motivator, but ultimately it will keep you stuck in a self-improvement mindset focused on external projects rather than relaxing into a natural process of becoming that unfolds from the inside out. It’s about settling fully into yourself.
- 04S1B: It’s not a final destination; it’s a process of discovering what’s already here and continual integration into wholeness. You are never “integrated.” You are always integrating.
- 04S1C: It’s never finished because nothing is static. Everything is changing, all the time.
- 04S1D: Old things falling away need to be let go of. New things emerging need to be met and received. This is the process of integration.
- 04S1E: Your presence in the world will arise from A State of Being, Not Doing, instead of trying to present an ideal version of yourself.
- 04S1F: “Achievements” will flow from the communication between your True Self and the world as a natural response to situations, instead of needing to get, prove, fix, or become something.
- Being settled within yourself is called Contentment.
- 04S2A: Contentment isn’t complacency. It’s not an uncaring attitude—in fact, it’s quite the opposite.
- 04S2B: It’s a powerful attitude of being deeply satisfied with who you are, your place in the world, and what is possible from where you are. You have,
El serenity to accept the things you cannot change,
The courage to change the things you can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
- 04S2C: Contentment, integrity, self-esteem, and authenticity all go hand in hand.
Contentment isn’t an accident. It’s a practice, and a conscious choice.
- At higher levels of Self-Actualization, you have to overcome the habit of seeking something outside yourself for completion.
- 04S3A: Contentment isn’t a conditional outcome that depends on temporary circumstances (external or internal). It’s an innate quality within you that you can choose to embrace and consciously cultivate.
- 04S3B: It’s a powerful state that gives you the peace of mind and equanimity in fortunate or challenging conditions.
- 04S3C: By appreciating abundance, you can respond creatively to whatever you encounter in a way that balances outer and inner needs.
- 04S3D: Take advantage of fortunate circumstances, to practice contentment when things are going well.
- 04S3E: This will help you stay in integrity with your True Self and the intrinsic values that bring genuine fulfillment rather than distracting and disconnecting you from your True Self by temporary externalities.
- 04S3F: And it will make it easier to practice contentment in difficult circumstances.
- 04S3G: Difficult circumstances are a powerful opportunity to come home to your True Self when you apply contentment.
- 04S3H: You can rediscover the unconditional, innate qualities within you, so you can find the path to integrity por listening for the guidance of your Authentic Self.
- Now, settle into yourself, just as you are.
- 04S4A: Sit or lie down quietly, with your eyes open or closed. Take a few deep breaths. Become aware of your body and environment.
- 04S4B: Don’t withdraw inward. Keep a balanced awareness of your inner physical/emotional experience and the outer environment. Cultivate an attitude of loving acceptance.
- 04S4C: Put your hand gently on your heart with kindness, love, and curiosity.
- 04S4D: As you notice the people, objects, and sensory stimuli around you, observe any feelings of discontentment you have towards them (judgment or criticism, preference or rejection). Be curious about that and give space for things to be free of your judgments.
- 04S4E: Consider that everything has its own existence and place, independent of your feelings about them. Everything belongs in its own way and has its own purpose.
- 04S4F: With your hand on your heart, say to yourself:
“All these things are worthy, they have a right to exist, just as they are.”
- 04S4G: You are part of the environment too, like everything and every person. You also have a place and purpose. You have the right to be—just as you are—simply by virtue of the fact that you are here.
- 04S4H: With your hand on your heart, say to yourself:
“I am worthy, I have a right to exist, just as I am. Nothing can be added to make me more worthy. Nothing can be taken away to make me less worthy.”
- 04S4I: Notice any feelings of discontentment with yourself (resistance, judgment, fear, anxiety, doubt, or criticism); any feeling that you are not good enough or undeserving in some way.
- 04S4J: Also, notice any feelings of pride, or judging yourself as better or more deserving than others.
5- Don’t try to fight these feelings or make them go away.
- 04S5A: With your hand on your heart, say to yourself:
“These feelings are natural, I don’t need to resist or change them. I am not better or worse for having these thoughts and feelings. They are not me.”
- 04S5B: Cultivate an attitude of total acceptance. For several minutes, keeping your hand on your heart, repeat this phrase every 20 seconds or so:
“I am worthy just as I am. I am content with myself. I am content with my life.”
- 04S5C: As thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations come up, or you notice things in your environment such as disruptive sounds, or as you think of other people, with your hand on your heart, repeat the phrase:
“This is worthy. This is part of the world. I accept the world as it is.”
6- Practice meeting everything you encounter in the world and in yourself with the same sense of worthiness and acceptance.
- 04S6A: When you allow yourself to feel your own worthiness and accept the world as worthy, you will begin to realize the world also accepts you, just as you are. You are part of the world.
- 04S6B: You can move through life on the solid earth of profound belonging instead of the unstable, shifting experience of doubt and insecurity.
- 04S6C: Fundamentally, there is no conflict or competition between yourself and the world. Life is not a competition to win or lose.
7- Make contentment more stable by reflecting that,
True contentment is unconditional.
- 04S7A: This kind of contentment is not based on extrinsic factors like money, status, possessions, looks, etc.
- 04S7B: It’s the result of an intimate relationship with yourself based on the simple reality that you are worthy and complete, simply by being alive.
- 04S7C: And you are equal to all other beings and things in this, no better or worse.
- 04S7D: It’s not about meeting other people’s expectations or fitting in.
- 04S7E: To gain more confidence in the power of contentment, ask yourself if it is really true that you are fundamentally worthy and deserving.
- 04S7F: Try to imagine all the things you might have or accomplish to see if they would do anything to improve this capacity for contentment.
- 04S7G: Try to imagine all kinds of difficult or negative situations to see if they can truly take contentment away.
- 04S7H: Without contentment, you can never really relax and enjoy whatever success or possessions you may have. And contentment is essential in order to sustain wellbeing in challenging situations.
- 04S7I: “Contentment is the greatest happiness, the greatest wealth.”- Tulku Jigme Rinpoche. Contentment is a source of strength, power, confidence and
peace of mind.
How to practice over time:
- Do this practice as often as you can, every day if possible, especially in the beginning. It can be anywhere you have a few minutes uninterrupted.
- Focus first on getting in touch with the feeling of unconditional contentment and allowing yourself to feel the freedom and relief that comes with it.
- Then work on getting more confident in it by examining again and again if it is really true.
- As you become more confident and familiar, make a conscious effort to remind yourself of it and connect with it whenever you begin to doubt your worthiness or feel insecure.
- Finally, begin to examine your behaviors and what motivates you to do certain things.
- Anytime you are faced with a decision (a life decision, a question of how to interact with someone, or just wondering whether or not to do something), ask yourself what you would do if you felt truly content with yourself. To do this, first, connect with the actual feeling of contentment within yourself.
Benefits of the practice:
You can breathe easier knowing that you don’t have to do anything to justify your existence. Self-Actualization is not self-improvement. You’ll have less anxiety and be more playful in living your life, instead of struggling to live a life that doesn’t feel yours.
It will be easier to pick yourself up from setbacks with a sense of humor, because you know your successes and failures aren’t you. You won’t get arrogant by getting attached and identifying with your possessions and accomplishments.
With greater confidence to live the life your heart is calling you to, you’ll be more able to relax and settle into your Authentic Self and to share yourself with others authentically, with vulnerability, power, honesty, and empathy.
You’ll stop investing your life energy in things that aren’t true to you. Your actions will have the strength of integrity and settled peacefulness instead of the agitation and anxiety of trying to meet other people’s imagined expectations. You will be guided by the question, “what is the expression of my True Self?” And you will your life to the fullest while attempting to answer it.
Contentment is an essential component of Self-Actualization, Integrity, Self-Esteem, and Love and Belonging.

6. Transforming Regret: Discovering and Committing to Your True Self – 06 – Aashna
Steps-
1- To begin, clear your mind. A clear mind is not the absence of thoughts; it is the ability to be aware of thoughts without getting lost in them.
How to clear your mind?
- 06S1A: Allow yourself to breathe naturally, without trying to control it in any way.
- 06S1B: Bring your attention to the sensation of your breath entering and leaving your body.
- 06S1C: As thoughts come up, simply observe them without judgment. Don’t try to hold onto them or make them go away, just let them come and let them go.
- 06S1D: Without attachment, notice them as they come, stay, and go.
2- Now, bring to mind something you regret.
It could be in the past, present, or an ongoing situation.
- 06S2A: Allow yourself to feel the emotion of regret.
- 06S2B: Avoid falling into judgment/condemnation or justification/rationalization, while blaming yourself or someone else.
- 06S2C: Just acknowledge the feeling of wishing things could be different somehow.
- 06S2D: “I wish I had not done or said that.” “I wish it had not happened.” “I wish I could erase or undo it.” “I wish I had done something different.”
- 06S2E: Allow yourself to feel the pain of regret without trying to push away or fix it.
3- Notice how it feels in your body.
Be gentle with yourself. Have a sense of sympathy and curiosity about what’s beneath the pain of regret.
- 06S3A: Maybe you feel like you want to cringe or turn away.
- 06S3B: If it feels too intense, take a break. Take a few slow, deep breaths and continue gently when you are ready.
- 06S3C: It’s important not to force it. That will just reinforce habitual patterns of judgment and condemnation.
- 06S3D: We may identify with or get invested in these stories, blaming ourselves or someone else. Gradually, we bind to the narrative, getting stuck with regret.
- 06S3E: Here, we’re trying to learn about regret and see what lessons it has to offer.
- 06S3F: So, be patient and make a relationship with this wounded part of yourself.
4-Now that you’ve made a relationship, it’s time to go deeper.
Ask yourself, what is it truly that you regret?
- 06S4A: Is it that you made a mistake, or is it something deeper?
- 06S4B: If it was just an honest mistake, would you feel such deep and lasting regret? Wouldn’t you just learn from it and move on?
- 06S4C: Is there a sense that you “knew better?” Or you should have known better? If so, what part of yourself knew better, and why didn’t you listen? That’s the key question to explore!
- 06S4D: You want to find the part of you that “knows better” and figure out what prevents you from hearing or following that knowledge.
- 06S4E: Remember, judgment and justification are not helpful here. It’s important to notice them without getting caught.
5- Redefine and transform regret for positive change and empowerment.
Regret is an opportunity to live more authentically.
- 06S5A: Regret is a natural and universal emotion that arises when we turn away from what we know to be true.
- 06S5B: We feel regret when we act in a way that is out of alignment with our true selves, deeper values, morals, beliefs, and sense of humanity.
- 06S5C: We often say, “that’s not who I truly am,” or “that’s not who I want to be.” Clues like these are imperative to further discovery.
- 06S5D: If we live with regret, it is because we have lost touch with ourselves, or some part of ourselves, and become misidentified with a story about what happened.
- 06S5E: Think of several situations you regret. What did they have in common? The details may be different, but there is always that sense of turning away from what we know to be true—the “knowing better”—away from our true self.
- 06S5F: We want to be true to our sense of self and goodness; we want to be in integrity. To have integrity means to be integrated and complete; whole, and harmonious. When we are out of integrity, we are fragmented, divided, and in discord with ourselves.
- 06S5G: Regret is the quiet voice of inner knowing calling us back to who we truly are.
- 06S5H: If you can learn to listen to the voice of regret in this way, you can transform regret into a powerful opportunity for self-actualization.
6- Receive the gift of regret and apply its wisdom to your life.
The greatest treasure is already inside you.
- 06S6A: Consider that from now on, whenever you encounter regret, you don’t have to get bogged down in negativity, judgment, and self-criticism.
- 06S6B: Instead, you can acknowledge the hurt and appreciate it as a powerful opportunity to come back into integrity with your authentic self.
- 06S6C: It won’t be easy, especially in the beginning. But if you keep making the effort, you will gradually get more familiar with your authentic self, forget it less often, and return to it more quickly when you do.
- 06S6D: And you will find greater satisfaction in acting in ways that are consistent with your deeper goodness (even when it is difficult) than going astray for easier short-term gratification.
How to practice over time-
- Practice this reflection again from time to time to refresh and strengthen your confidence in this radical insight.
- Whenever regret comes up, whether as a memory from the past or a new situation, use it as an opportunity to re-examine what happened to your kindness and patience.
- Ask yourself how and when you lost touch with the guidance of your true self.
- What might you have done differently if you had stayed true to your authentic self?
- What would the above have felt like?
- Make a strong intention to be able to notice when challenging situations are coming up that may tempt you to abandon your “better knowing.”
- Try to catch yourself before you turn away from what you know to be true and make a conscious effort to turn your attention toward your authentic self and the guidance it is trying to give.
- Consciously listen to what your inner voice is trying to tell you about your values and rethink how you want to live.
Benefits of this exercise-
When you discover that separation from your authentic self is the source of regret, you also realize that you can make better choices for yourself and others when you are able to listen and trust the voice of inner knowing.
Instead of trying to conform to outside standards or forcing yourself to be a better person, focus on discovering and listening to your authentic self. Better decisions will be the natural outcome. By using regret in this way, even when you make a mistake you can use it to get to know yourself better and become more authentic. Instead of criticizing or justifying your actions, you will learn how to forgive yourself and move forward in a different direction in life from the inside out instead of just changing from the outside.
You will be more motivated and more able to stay in integrity with your authentic self, and better able to return when you stray.
Self-Esteem- 21-40%- 7
7- Re-Orienting From Extrinsic To Intrinsic Values- 07 – (Khushi)
Lo que necesitas para empezar
- Time and space to reflect for 30-45 minutes (or several sessions of 10-20 minutes).
- A pen and paper or a digital device for making notes.
Steps-
1- Before we get to the exercise, let’s look at what self-esteem is and is not, and where it comes from.
What is self-esteem?
- 07S1A: Self-esteem refers to your sense of self-worth, how you value or “esteem” yourself.
- 07S1B: It’s based on recognizing your inherent worth as a human being and your unique, individual gifts.
- 07S1C: True self-esteem is not based on your possessions, accomplishments, or status or the opinions and approval of others in the form of praise or criticism.
- 07S1D: Composed of extrinsic factors defining us. The items listed above are external or extrinsic, meaning they lie outside of the self. Yet, many of us are conditioned to define ourselves and judge our value based on them. Those parameters are “stuff”esteem, and not self-esteem.
- 07S1E: Where does self-esteem come from?
- 07S1F: True self-esteem is based on intrinsic factors.
- 07S1G: You have to break the habit of identifying with external factors and re-orient yourself to prioritize intrinsic factors in order to recognize and appreciate your inherent worth as a human being.
- 07S1H: Correcting this is the key to developing genuine self-esteem. Research shows that intrinsic values are the key to feeling good about yourself and your life; they are the key to healthy self-esteem. On the other hand, extrinsic values have very little to do with happiness.
2- Let’s take a closer look at extrinsic and intrinsic values to understand what they are.
Extrinsic values are related to outer accomplishments, such as:
- 07S2A: How much money we make, what kind of clothes we wear, the car or house we own, whether we have the ideal family, getting into the right school or job, where we live, how much we travel, and where we take vacations.
- 07S2B: Status, fame, power
- 07S2C: Even things like the kind of music we like and the friends we associate with are “extrinsic.” However, authentic relationships are closely related to intrinsic values.
- 07S2D: Intrinsic values are qualities internal to the self:
- 07S2E: Love (giving and receiving)
- 07S2F: Connection
- 07S2G: Honesty
- 07S2H: Generosity
- 07S2I: Kindness
- 07S2J: Compassion
3- Here is another way of understanding the difference between extrinsic and intrinsic values.
- 07S3A: Extrinsic value is projected onto things from the outside because people agree they have value, such as,
- An expensive car
- Designer clothing
- Money
- 07S3B: Intrinsic value is what an object or person has in itself, whether anyone recognizes it or not.
- Good health
- Peace of mind
- 07S3C: The above are examples of intrinsic value that also happen to be intrinsic to the self. But external things can also have intrinsic value. Por ejemplo,
- Clean drinking water
- A safe place to live
- Meaningful relationships
- 07S3D: The examples above are external to us but they all have intrinsic value, regardless of their monetary worth or the value others may see in them. They bring immeasurable benefit to our basic well-being and quality of life.
- 07S3E: Extrinsic value is often established by comparison (‘A’ is more valuable than ‘B’), but intrinsic value is not comparative—it simply is in itself.
- 07S3F: Let’s understand the effects of extrinsic and intrinsic value on happiness and well-being. Research shows that extrinsic values have very little to do with how happy we are.
- 07S3G: External objects with intrinsic value contribute to happiness by meeting essential needs, but having more than we need doesn’t make us happier.
- 07S3H: It’s easier to feel happy if you have a safe home and food. But having five homes and more food than you can eat doesn’t make you happier.
- 07S3I: Intrinsic values are the key to feeling good about ourselves and our lives.
- 07S3J: The key to healthy self-esteem is focusing more on intrinsic values.
4- To get more clear, let’s look at three specific categories
- 07S4A: Internal factors with intrinsic value – Thoughts, feelings, emotions, attitudes, beliefs, and values are the true source of self-esteem.
- 07S4B: External factors with intrinsic value – Relationships, food, shelter, community, behaviors, recreation, meaningful work, play, etc. can support or undermine the inner factors that are the actual source of self-esteem.
- 07S4C: External factors with extrinsic value – Fame, status, and power. Wealth and possessions beyond basic needs, security requirements, and purposeful use contribute very little to true well-being and are actually harmful when used as a substitute for intrinsic values. They are often used to conceal and compensate for personal insecurities rather than growing genuine self-esteem.
5- Here’s a cultural observation to help understand how we’ve become so confused over what really matters.
- 07S5A: Modern consumer culture trains us to focus on the third category (external factors with extrinsic value), which can never truly bring fulfillment because extrinsic factors can never become part of our self; they always remain external to us.
- 07S5B: This takes us away from self-awareness which is vital to self-esteem, and we lose focus on the first two categories which are much more important to cultivating self-esteem.
- 07S5C: Consequently, it undermines our self-worth and self-esteem by preying on our insecurities and doubts, forcing us to find worth and contentment outside ourselves.
- 07S5D: As we get further out of touch with our inherent worth, we crave external gratification increasingly, which again takes us further away from our True Self, hence trapping us in a vicious circle.
- 07S5E: We should make a conscious effort to overcome this cultural conditioning, to re-orient and re-train ourselves toward our True Self.
6- Now, to help you move away from chasing extrinsic values toward cultivating intrinsic values, we can try the following.
Examine your life
- 07S6A: Make a chart with three columns, one for each of the categories in Step 4 above, viz. internal factors with intrinsic value, external factors with intrinsic value, and external factors with extrinsic value.
- 07S6B: Think of things that are important to you and have the power to influence your mood in a positive or negative way.
- 07S6C: Think of things that make you feel confident or insecure, safe or fearful, relaxed or anxious.
- This should include your motivations and goals, desires and wishes, hopes and fears for the future, as well as your self-identity.
- 07S7A: Write each of them down in the column for whichever you feel they belong to.
- 07S7B: Think about it carefully to be clear about which category they belong to and why.
- 07S7C: In some cases, you may feel like something belongs in two categories and you can’t choose one. Then try to get clear about why it belongs in both.
- For instance, your job may have some aspects that are intrinsic and other aspects that are extrinsic.
- Try to list the specific aspects of your job that belong to each category.
- 07S7D: Also, look for points of conflict between items in different categories. For instance:
- You may value honesty and loyalty very highly as internal/intrinsic values.
- And you may have a dear friend who has asked you to keep a secret (intrinsic) that requires you to lie to a third person.
- 07S7E: Now, rank each item in each category between 1 to 10 based on how important it is to you. Be honest with yourself about what’s really most important to you right now, and not what you think it should be.
- 07S7F: Add up the numbers in each column to see where your priorities are focused.
- 07S7G: This will help you see more clearly whether your attention is focused on extrinsic or intrinsic values and how you can shift your focus to invest more energy into the intrinsic factors that are the real source of well-being and self-esteem.
- 07S7H: The list doesn’t have to be complete. It should be small enough to be manageable and help you gain clarity; it should not confuse or overwhelm you. You can always look at something different next time.
8- Digest this information for nutritional value through self-reflection,
Self-reflection
- 07S8A: Try to imagine how your experience of life would be different if you were more focused on things with intrinsic value. Do you really want that?
- 07S8B: Once you are clear on some of the ways you are focused on extrinsic values, notice when you are being drawn into that and ask yourself, “How could I approach this differently to focus more on intrinsic value?”
- 07S8C: “What are the intrinsic values that I forget or ignore when I pursue this extrinsic value?”
- 07S8D: “What internal obstacles (fears, doubts, habits) make it difficult to choose intrinsic value?”
- 07S8E: These questions will help you embark on the journey toward intrinsic values.
How to practice it over time-
- Little by little, look for ways to choose intrinsic value over extrinsic value. You will probably find it challenging but also deeply rewarding. For instance,
- Rather than trying to please everyone and seeking their approval, prioritize being true to yourself.
- Rather than buying things you don’t need, use your money to enrich your inner life or do something helpful for others.
- Rather than chasing after power or status, focus on building meaningful relationships.
- As you discover greater courage, confidence, independence, strength, empathy, joy, freedom, and ultimately true self-esteem, you will become more and more familiar with your true self and its inherent worth instead of defining and identifying yourself with things that are external to you.
- You can do this exercise as many times and as often as you like to look at different aspects of your life.
- You can also use it as a tool to help analyze challenging and complex situations and find a course of action that strengthens your commitment to intrinsic values in balance with external demands.
Benefits of this exercise-
This is a life practice that will free you from pursuing things that have little or no real value so you can invest your precious life energy in accumulating the true wealth of genuine well-being and inner fulfillment.
You will grow more familiar with your true self and its inherent worth instead of identifying and defining yourself by external factors.
This takes consistent, intentional practice, and most importantly, it takes time. But you will start to notice a difference right away.
Self-Esteem – 61-80%- 9
9- Authenticity: The Magic of Being True to Yourself (SaiShekhar)
Lo que necesitas para empezar
1- Time and space to be alone with your thoughts.
2- If possible, find a place to be outside with grass and trees, and a view of the blue sky.
Steps-
1- Get comfortable with who you are.
Let yourself be, just as you are.
- 09S1A: Relax, connect with your body, your breath, and the environment around you.
- 09S1B: Relax again, let go of any pressure to conform to other people’s expectations.
- 09S1C: Let go of the project of trying to be “good enough” or hide your imperfections and relax some more
- 09S1D: For the short time of this exercise, just let yourself be as you are without judgment, without trying to change, fix, or improve anything. Be at ease with yourself!
2- Know that you are worthy, just as you are.
Feel your basic goodness
- 09S2A: You are an ordinary human being with a body, mind, and heart, a living being on the Earth, just like every other—no better or worse, no more or less worthy.
- 09S2B: You have just as much right to be alive on the planet as every other being.
- 09S2C: You are part of the community of life. Rest with this awareness for a few minutes.
3- Connect with the elements that all beings share.
- 09S3A: With each breath, know that you share this air with all beings. It is not owned. It was here before us. It is given freely.
- 09S3B: Feel the Earth beneath you. Every being that has ever lived walked on the same Earth and was supported by it.
- 09S3C: Feel the warmth of the Sun. It shines on every part of the Earth. Anywhere on the planet, at any point in history, beings looked up at the same Sun and felt its warmth. Appreciate this!
- 09S3D: Let yourself feel gratitude. Rejoice in it! Rejoice in your kinship with all of life!
- 09S3E: Marvel at the mystery of life. These elements, the Sun, air, and Earth (together with many more) make life. Life grows naturally out of their combination, like ingredients in a recipe. It is dependent on them.
- 09S3F: But life is something more than just the combination of parts.
- 09S3G: Like life, you are more than just a collection of parts.
4- Let’s apply this insight to discover your Authentic Self (who you truly are) and differentiate it from your Artificial Self (by seeing what you are not).
Examine the ways you identify yourself
- 09S4A: Labels, roles, and personality traits – parent, child, sibling, friend, employee/employer, male/female, good/bad, happy/sad, wealthy/poor, successful/unsuccessful, friendly, lonely, generous, shy, etc., also your occupation, interests, and hobbies. Even your name.
- 09S4B:
- You identify with these labels but are they really you?
- If you have children, who were you before you became a parent?
- 09S4C:
- Are you always generous or sad?
- Are you still you if you remove these labels or add new ones?
- 09S4D: Beliefs and preferences – religious, political, and philosophical beliefs; things you like and don’t like.
- 09S4E:
- Have your beliefs and opinions changed over time?
- Is that what makes you who you are?
- 09S4F:
- Where do these ideas come from anyway? Would different life experiences give us different ideas?
- Why do we cling to and identify with them so strongly?
- 09S4G: Stories about your life – the stories you tell about yourself and your life experience (positive and negative). Some of them go back to childhood. You may not even remember when some of them began.
- 09S4H:
- Are they really you?
- How much of what you think about who you are comes from what others have told or expect from you?
- Are they even accurate recollections of what happened?
- 09S4I: Some additional questions to ask yourself-
- Who are you outside of these stories, beliefs, and labels?
- What is their function? Can they be helpful?
- 09S4J: Do you even need them? Or could you live a more accessible and expansive life without restricting yourself to these mental concepts?
- Is it possible to create new stories, beliefs, and labels more in accord with your authentic self?
- Is it possible to use them constructively without getting trapped by them?
5- Understanding Elements of the Artificial Self
- 09S5A: They are artificial because they are not part of our original being.
- 09S5B: They’re not with us from the beginning; they are added over time as we go through life.
- 09S5C: It’s not that the Artificial Self is bad. It’s just not who you truly are, and it gets in the way of connecting with your True Self.
6- You can step into Authentic Presence by,
Stepping beyond the Artificial Self
- 09S6A: The Artificial Self is like a costume we put on. It may be beautiful or ugly, but it’s something extra—a foil to our true selves.
- 09S6B: Over time, we forget we are wearing a costume; we forget our Authentic Self and become identified with the Artificial Self.
- 09S6C: The Authentic Self is what we find when we remove the layers we have covered ourselves with. It has the quality of being naked, honest, and not concealed. There is a vulnerable quality, but it is also powerful because it is who we truly are, not something we are pretending to be.
- 09S6D: Our natural brilliance is concealed and suppressed when we wear this artificial costume.
- 09S6E: Record your findings! What do you find when you look beyond all of the labels and ideas of the artificial self?
- 09S6F: It may take a lot of work to put a name to it. It may not fit into a package that you can point to and say, “this is me.” But something is there!
- 09S6G: Like life itself, it is there—it is undeniable. It is more than the sum of its parts but is connected to everything else.
- 09S6H: This is your authentic self.
7- Let’s take a closer look at some of the characteristics of the Artificial Self and the Authentic Self.
- 09S7A: The Artificial Self: It’s an imaginary psycho-social construct, often called our personality.
- 09S7B: Most of it is learned or developed in response to external situations, often with a lot of unconscious trauma, sometimes leading us to harm or undermine ourselves.
- 09S7C: It’s mainly oriented toward extrinsic values and short-term satisfaction rather than lasting fulfillment.
- 09S7D: But it gives us a sense of familiarity, security, and predictability, even when it doesn’t serve our true interests. We say, “I like this or that. I am not like this. I am like that.”
- 09S7E: It gives us a sense of knowing ourselves. It’s just the self we know isn’t our True Self.
- 09S7F: The Authentic Self: By contrast, it is an ineffable yet undeniable experience that is innate.
- 09S7G: It has intrinsic value, power, and truth. Your Authentic Self is its own reward.
- 09S7H: But it’s hard to pin down and fit into a box labeled “Me.”
8- Uncertainty is the border between the false self and the Authentic Self.
Learn to trust the wisdom of uncertainty
- 09S8A: Don’t worry about trying to find or define what you are. Instead, just become aware of and let go of what you are not.
- 09S8B: Who you are is already there, underneath all that, ready to emerge without any extra effort. It will naturally come forward without needing to be created or defined.
- 09S8C: There may be a sense of uncertainty that can be disorienting and hard to trust at first.
- 09S8D: But compared with the false certainty of the Artificial Self, that uncertainty is a sign that you are on the threshold between the false self and your true self.
- 09S8E: Spend a few minutes getting familiar with the open, undefined presence of simply being, the experience of your Authentic Self outside the narrow box of the Artificial Self.
How to practice over time:
- This exercise has three parts that can be done together or separately:
- Steps 1-3 – Relax, appreciate, rejoice
- Step 4 – Clarifying the artificial self
- Step 5 – Step into an authentic presence
- Read and do the entire exercise weekly, either in one or three shorter sessions.
- Focus on Step 4 to get clear about the Artificial Self. Notice how the Artificial Self asserts itself and shapes your behaviors and attitudes when you fall into unconscious habits.
- Step 5 is more about resting in a simple, open presence with curiosity. There is little to do. It comes naturally from letting go of the Artificial Self.
- As you get more familiar, you can emphasize Step 5 more and rest there for 10 to 20 minutes at a time or as long as you like.
- You can also simply touch into the open presence anytime amid your day for a few seconds or minutes, several times a day.
Benefits of this exercise:
This is an introduction to the open, unconditioned goodness of your essential being and the sky-like field of potential within you.
First, this can allow you to be much more at ease with yourself and confident in the world by finding a solid foundation for unconditional genuine self-esteem. By letting go of the pressures, expectations, and limitations of the Artificial Self, you will experience much more freedom and relaxation.
Second, you will be able to explore a whole new range of possibilities for how you want to live your life. And these emerge from your Authentic Self once you permit yourself to go beyond the artificial limitations of the false self.
It’s not that you will abandon your roles and commitments, such as being a parent. But you will be able to fulfill those roles in a way that is true to your deepest sense of self. And you will be able to let go of things that limit you unnecessarily in favor of things that liberate you.
You’ll make decisions based more on what is truly meaningful to you than what you have always assumed you have to do.
Self-Esteem – 81-100%- 10
10- Nothing Added, Nothing Taken Away (Aashna)
What you need to begin:
- 15 to 20 minutes for self-reflection.
Steps-
- We tend to think of self-esteem as something that can come and go.
- 10S1A: We say someone has high or low self-esteem. But in reality, true self-esteem does not fluctuate.
- 10S1B: If it’s based on extrinsic values or the Artificial Self, it can fluctuate because these are conditional.
- 10S1C: But that’s not self-esteem. Extrinsic values are external to the self, and the artificial self isn’t the self. It’s artificial, not authentic or real, not your True Self.
- 10S1D: The Authentic Self is not conditional.
- 10S1E: True self-esteem must be based on the True Self—your original being—before anything is added or taken away.
- 10S1F: It was with you when you were born. It will be with you when you die. And it is with you throughout the journey of life.
- 10S1G: Nothing can be added or taken away from your original Self.
- 10S1H: Yet everything authentic unfolds from it.
- 10S1I: You can add to or take away from the Artificial Self, but it’s just a costume, an adornment. It never becomes part of your body, part of who you are.
- 10S1J: When you take it off, the authenticity body remains unchanged, just as it was before you put the costume on.
- Don’t make the mistake of linking self-esteem to wealth, power, success, or popularity.
Conditional self-esteem is always inherently fragile.
- 10S2A: There is an old story of a frog that lived in a well and thought the water in its well was the ocean. The frog couldn’t imagine anything greater than the well and believed itself to be the ruler of everything. One day the frog was taken out of the well and, seeing the ocean for the first time, immediately died of a heart attack.
- 10S2B: Wealthy or powerful people seem very confident, but what happens when their conditions change? What would they be like if they lost all their power or wealth?
- 10S2C: Success is like the well. If you identify with it, you chain yourself in the prison of the false self. Our perspective is very small, and when our power or status is threatened, we tend to become unstable.
- 10S2D: Be an eagle, not a frog.
- 10S2E: An eagle can easily fly into the sky and see things from a much greater perspective. They would never make the mistake of the frog in the well.
- 10S2F: They fly to the highest and lowest places but never forget their home; their joy is in the wide ranging perspective of the sky.
- 10S2G: Your Authentic Self is like the sky.
- 10S2H: It’s always there, unchanging. Clouds and storms come and go, but the sky itself never changes. The whole Earth and everything in it are forever held within the unchanging sky. Endless unique cloud formations and spectacular sunsets unfold from the sky and dissolve back into it.
- 10S2I: Unchangingness is a universal aspect of life. The ever-changing variety, emerging and returning to the original, unchanging sky is the unique, personal aspect.
- Self-esteem doesn’t fluctuate when it’s based on your True Self.
- 10S3A: Life is a journey of discovering and gradually gaining confidence in your True Self as the source of authenticity, integrity, purpose, creativity, and fulfillment.
- 10S3B: Even after discovering it, we alternate between the well of familiar artificial labels and the vast sky of our True Selves. That’s why self-esteem fluctuates.
- 10S3C: Even a relatively healthy sense of esteem is still subject to the influence of good and bad fortune or praise and criticism.
- 10S3D: Discovering it isn’t enough. We have to become more confident in our True Self.
- 10S3E: At this point, you can move beyond the fluctuations of conditional self-esteem into unshakeable confidence.
- 10S3F: Return to your home in the unchanging sky of your True Self.
- This contemplation will help you orient your self-esteem towards your real value, which can never be increased or diminished.
- 10S4A: Prepare your body and mind.
- 10S4B: Sit or lie down quietly and bring your attention to your breath and body for a couple of minutes to settle yourself and come into the present.
- 10S4C: It doesn’t matter if you’re in a quiet or a noisy place, in private or in public (it’s recommended to remain uninterrupted for the period of contemplation). And if you will feel awkward in public, you should be in a private place.
- 10S4D: Awareness of your present experience.
- 10S4E: With your senses open, notice whatever happens: the sights, sounds, smells, physical sensations, thoughts, and emotions. Let your senses wander even if your attention is drawn to noises and appearances of the world outside or your mind’s noisy chatter and imagery.
- 10S4F: Notice the coming and going of all these things—they are all momentary and fleeting. Even the buildings and things that seem more permanent had to be built, and at some point, will be gone.
- 10S4G: Yet all these things happen somewhere, within a space that precedes and remains after them, unchanged. Notice that everything you perceive comes and goes, yet something remains.
- 10S4H: Reflect on your life experience.
- 10S4I: Now reflect on all your life experiences, up until now and into the future. Aren’t they like the clouds in the sky?
- 10S4J: Look for the sky of yourself. Where is it? Amid all these ever-changing experiences, look for what does not change.
- Think of your most difficult experiences and your most pleasant experiences. Yet, something was there through them all, unchanging. What is that?
- 10S5A: Imagine your senses of confidence, wellbeing, and self-esteem remaining constant and unshaken through everything, not high or low, just complete and unshakable. What would that take? What would your confidence have to be based on for that?
- 10S5B: Project your mind into the future.
- 10S5C: Imagine all your wishes coming true, and then all your fears. Then imagine experiencing the same degree of confidence and self-esteem in the face of every possible circumstance. What would your self-esteem be based on for that to happen?
- 10S5D: Don’t think of “the Authentic Self.” Look! Look for yourself! Look again and again to find what is unchanging.
- 10S5E: Imagine experiencing sickness and death, wealth and poverty, fame and disgrace, losing loved ones, and the fear of loss.
- 10S5F: All these things which can come and go cannot be your True Self. Look for what nothing can be added to, and from which nothing can be lost.
- 10S5G: Your true being is like the sky, and your experiences are like clouds. So look for the sky of your True Being—your original, Authentic Self. That is your true richness, your greatest wealth, which can never be lost. It is the only reliable basis for your self-esteem.
How to practice over time:
- Do this contemplation again and again whenever you have time. Alternate between doing it in seclusion, noisy public places, nature, parks, buildings, or wherever you are.
- Always do it to free yourself from judging your worth based on unreliable and ever-changing things. They will unavoidably come and go, rise and fall. And self-esteem will rise and fall with them. Like investing money in the stock market, as the value of stocks fluctuates, your money goes with it.
- You don’t need to go through all the prompts listed in the contemplation above every time.
- Start with Steps 1 and 2 for the first half of your session. Then pick a few prompts from Step 3 to contemplate for the second half of the session.
Benefits of this exercise:
You’ll discover a source of confidence that doesn’t falter. This will bring contentment, wellbeing, and fulfillment regardless of your circumstances. You will have confidence and peace of mind whether you are sick or healthy, rich or poor, alone or surrounded by loved ones, if your plans succeed or fail, when life is going well or when you face tremendous hardships, and possibly, even in the face of death.
Unconditional confidence is never in competition with others. No person or situation is a threat because nothing can be gained or lost from the True Self. Only the Artificial Self measures loss and gain. You can transcend conflict and competition because your self-worth is not based on winning or being better than others.
Your confident presence will be powerful but also kind and welcoming—a source of comfort, support, encouragement, and inspiration for everyone you encounter. It’s an endless source of wealth for you to enjoy and share with others.
Nothing will stand in the way of Love.
This doesn’t make you complacent; it enables you to contribute the greatest wealth imaginable in every situation, all the time. Nothing will prevent you from offering the best of yourself in service, and you will never be confused about your extraordinary contributions. You will never feel impoverished even if you don’t have many material possessions.
You won’t be distracted from genuine Self-Actualization by illusory, extrinsic goals. Since it is the only reliable source of genuine fulfillment, our most important task is to align ourselves with this True Self and use our life to bring it to its fullest possible expression. This is the definition of Self-Actualization.

12- Attention & Listening: The Source of Connection (Khushi)
What you need to begin:
- A sincere wish for deeper, more meaningful connection with others.
- A willingness to give your full attention to another person.
- If you can find a partner to do this exercise together with, that’s great! If not, you can do it yourself whenever you’re engaged in a conversation with somebody.
Steps:
- First, we have to understand what creates connection and what prevents it.
- 12S1A: Attention is the source of meaningful, authentic connection.
- 12S1B: In modern life, it is increasingly difficult for people to focus and direct their attention for extended periods of time. This is one of many powerful factors that contribute to epidemic levels of loneliness, alienation, and disconnection.
- 12S1C: “Digital connectivity” is a poor artificial substitute for real human connection that actually leaves us feeling less connected y undermines our capacity for attention. We lose the capacity to pay attention and be present with others and with ourselves.
- 12S1D: We are in a state of constant distraction and our attention is continually drawn outward towards an endless stream of sensory stimulation. This is harmful to self-esteem, love and belonging, and self-actualization.
- 12S1E: Meaningful connection is a fundamental human need vital for both mental and physical health. To meet the need for connection in a modern environment that doesn’t support it, you have to take the initiative to do the following.
- 12S1F: Reclaim and train your attention.
- 12S1G: There are many ways to protect and strengthen your attention, such as:
- Reducing use of digital devices and social media.
- Practicing mindfulness meditation.
- 12S1H: Good sleep, diet, and exercise.
- Breath and body awareness practices.
- Being alert and engaging all of your sense perceptions.
- Being in nature.
- Intentional Listening is one of the most powerful ways to do this because it creates connection and strengthens attention at the same time, allowing you to,
Be genuinely present with others and with yourself.
- 12S2A: We feel connected with others when there is a mutual sense of being seen, heard, and cared for.
- 12S2B: Beyond merely being present, in order to care for one another, we have to see and hear each other in order to know what someone may need and how we might help.
- 12S2C: We have to learn how to simply be present for one another, how to give our full attention.
- 12S2D: We have to be willing to give attention in order to receive it. Listen to others if you want to be listened to.
- Begin by setting your intention to truly see and hear the other person.
- 12S3A: In a world where people are starved for connection and most of our interactions happen through digital devices or with distracted, superficial attention, giving someone your full attention is one the greatest and rarest gifts to share.
- 12S3B: Simply setting the intention is a powerful act that will change the quality of your interaction even if you’re not able to really give someone your undivided, heartfelt attention. It’s a practice.
- 12S3C: In our culture of distraction, it’s probably going to take a sustained effort to truly develop the skill of listening to someone fully. Be patient with yourself and rejoice in forming the intention and any success you are able to have.
- Now, bring your intention into action. These tools and techniques will help you deepen the quality of your attention, sustain it longer, and bring it back when you get distracted.
Listen with your heart; speak from your heart.
- 12S4A: Don’t interrupt. Let them finish speaking before you talk. Leave some space for silence.
- 12S4B: Don’t just listen with your ears; listen with your whole body. Engage all of your senses, especially your eyes and body.
- 12S4C: Focus most of your attention on the sound of their voice.
- 12S4D: Also, notice other sounds that come up in the environment, like a symphony of life. Notice the silence as well—the space that sound comes up from and goes back into.
- 12S4E: Notice the tendency to think about y react to what the person is saying. We’re often busy forming a response while a person is still talking instead of just listening to what they’re saying.
- 12S4F: When you notice this, use your senses to get out of your head and be present in your body with the other person.
5- Now, connect with your body.
- 12S5A: Don’t get caught up in trying to analyze your body. Just be with it. Use some very obvious sensations that will keep you grounded and present.
- 12S5B: Notice the feeling of your feet touching the ground and the weight of your body down through your legs to the feet.
- 12S5C: Notice the feeling of your belly and chest, and the weight of your head and neck on your shoulders.
- 12S5D: Notice your breathing. Be conscious of your mouth being open or closed.
- 12S5E: Release any tension you notice in your back, feet, legs, face, neck, or shoulders.
- 12S5F: As tension is released you become more present. Tension dissociates you from your body. Releasing it brings you into your body.
- 12S5G: Notice any sensations that arise in your body as you are listening, and any emotions connected to them. Be curious about them, but avoid trying to interpret or define them too quickly.
- 12S5H: Being sensitive to how you are responding in your body can help you notice the hidden biases and unconscious reactions toward the person in conversation. It also puts you in touch with a more intuitive way of knowing and connecting with the other person on a deeper level.
6- Use your eyes to really look at the people you’re connecting with.
- 12S6A: Look at the features of their face. Hold your gaze on one feature at a time for several seconds to really see it. Look at their nose, eyebrows, lips as they move, and the shape of their ears. Look at their clothing.
- 12S6B:Try to always use your eyes to intentionally look at the person, to really see them.
- 12S6C:You will notice cues in their facial expressions and body language that are important for a deeper level of listening. It’s often said that 90% of communication is non-verbal body language. If you’re only hearing the words, you’re not connecting on a deeper level with the person.
- 12S6D: This is also a way of grounding and stabilizing your attention in the present to help you listen to them more fully.
- 12S6E: Connect with your senses: Connecting with our senses is how we receive information and communication from the world.
- 12S6F: When you’re in your head and thoughts, it’s like being in a house with all the curtains pulled. You can only imagine what’s happening outside.
- 12S6G:When you get out of your head and wake up to your senses, it’s like opening all the curtains and seeing the world. You can see the other person as they are, and you can hear what they’re actually saying, instead of your projection.
- 12S6H:These suggestions are simply meant to help you escape your tunnel thought-process by letting your senses be open and alert. Instead of responding from a place of mental interpretation and emotional reactivity, you can respond to the totality of the person you’re listening to.
- 12S6I:This will allow you to notice and receive all kinds of information you would otherwise not even be aware of.
7- Now, balance your attention.
- 12S7A: You can’t actually divide your attention, but if you could, imagine something like,
- 50% on sound (40% on the voice, 10% on background sounds)
- 20% on body
- 20% on sight
- 10% on other senses
- 12S7B: Don’t take this too seriously, it’s just to help you think about being alert to all of your senses at the same time while focusing on listening.
8- Speak the same way you listened.
- 12S8A: You will notice that when you listen to another person this way you are also listening to yourself at the same time. Shift your focus to listening for what comes from deep within you.
- 12S8B: So, when it’s your turn to speak, you can speak from what’s truly coming up within you instead of a prepared statement that you formulated in advance.
- 12S8C: Don’t be in a rush, give space for silence. Speak from your heart.
- 12S8D: You may be surprised to find what unplanned wisdom comes out of your mouth when you listen and speak from such a deep place of authenticity and connection.
How to practice over time:
- You can practice being present and balancing your attention with your senses open even when you’re alone. This will help you get familiar with the quality of awareness, so it is easier when you’re having an actual conversation with someone.
- Bring this quality of intentional listening into all of your conversations whenever you remember. You don’t have to act differently or strange (that it feels unnatural to you) and make the other person feel weird or self-conscious. Be yourself, just pay more attention.
- Don’t try to do everything described in the exercise all at once. Just focus on two or three things (at least one from each category of listening, i.e., body and eyes) that you can easily remember. Read the exercise again regularly and focus on a different element the next time. You can choose intentionally what to focus on or just do whatever comes up naturally.
- It would be excellent if you could find a partner to do this practice with, so you can really focus on practicing with focused attention without being self-conscious.
- Like any skill, this kind of practice will help you be more natural and effective in real life situations.
Further resources for deep listening:
This practice is just an introduction which may be very impactful if practiced well. If you would like to learn more, there are many resources online. The practice of focusing is one of the earliest and most influential.
Benefits of this exercise:
This listening exercise will help you to give your full attention to others. This will help you speak more authentically and enable you to hear and notice things about others you might otherwise miss. Others will feel the quality of your authentic presence when you give them your full attention. And although it will not magically transform your interactions, it will definitely improve the quality of interaction and people will be more inclined to giving their full attention to you.
You will be taking the initiative in deepening the quality of your relationships rather than leaving it to chance and you will become an active agent of care in the world, simply by sharing your presence fully.
Along with other practices, it will help you gather and intentionally direct your attention, which is crucial to wellbeing, self-esteem, and self-actualization. At the same time, you will be improving the quality of your connections, which will enhance your experience of love and belonging and open possibilities for others to experience deeper levels of communication and connection as well.

13- Authentic Communication: Finding Your Value Through Conversation (Lakshay)
Lo que necesitas para empezar
- Time and space for meaningful conversation.
- A conversation partner (or several) to be authentic with.
- An intention to be vulnerable and genuine.
Steps-
1- Begin by reflecting on the importance of balancing outer and inner conditions for true self-esteem.
- 13S1A: Fundamentally, self-esteem is an inside job—it must come from you. But that doesn’t mean you have to be totally independent and impervious to outside influences, like a rock.
- 13S1B: We are relational beings. Through finding expression in relationships and community, our life gains purpose and meaning.
- 13S1C: Finding the right balance between self-sufficiency and communal integration, inner strength supported by outer relationships, allows your potential to be actualized in the world, and enables your potential to be nurtured by the world like a tree being nourished by the sun, rain, and soil.
- 13S1D: This is the truth of interdependence.
2- Now that you recognize the role of meaningful relationships in developing healthy self-esteem, you can apply this power consciously.
Through conscious conversation
- 13S2A: Authentic communication in healthy relationships can be like a mirror reflecting the value you may not be able to see in yourself, as well as obstacles that may be interfering with your flourishing.
- 13S2B: Begin by finding a partner.
- 13S2C: Find someone you trust and feel comfortable being authentic with, or rather, are willing to experience the discomfort of authenticity with.
- 13S2D: It could be a close friend or family member, although it doesn’t have to be. You may find it easier with someone a little more distant.
- 13S2E:The most important thing is that you trust the goodness of the person and they are willing to have a heartfelt conversation with you.
- 13S2F: You should be confident that the conversation will remain confidential (unless you agree otherwise).
- 13S2G: You and your partner should be willing to be honest and kind in giving feedback. Even if it takes a critical form, it should be constructive and empowering.
3- Invite them to join you for a conversation, ideally in person. If that’s not possible, phone or video conference is also good, although not text or email. It should be a live conversation.
Be honest and sincere, confident, and vulnerable.
- 13S3A: Tell them you want to have an important and special kind of conversation.
- 13S3B: Tell them you want to develop more confidence and self-esteem, to overcome self-doubt, and self-limiting beliefs and behaviors.
- 13S3C: Make sure they understand you’re not asking them to solve your problems, just to be honest with you in sharing what they think you need to hear and what will help you grow.
- 13S3D: You can tell them you want to have a “conscious conversation” and share the instructions for this exercise with them.
4- Follow these simple guidelines for your conscious conversations.
Listen and speak with an open heart and mind.
- 13S4A: Some communication practices have very specific instructions, but this should be a straightforward, free-flowing conversation without a lot of artificial guidelines. It should be simple and ordinary but very heartfelt and sincere.
- 13S4B: However, it’s best to keep the below in mind:
- 13S4C: Focus on positive attributes, their value in community, and ways to bring them into service to others. “Critical feedback” is only for drawing attention to obstacles and blindspots that interfere with the expression of positive attributes.
- 13S4D: It should be a two-way conversation. It’s important that you both share your positive observations about one another. Your partner should have a genuine sense of why you chose them and what you value in them. Reflecting their goodness will put you in touch with your own power and goodness. By giving as well as receiving, your own self-esteem grows in the process.
- 13S4E: Listen well to one another. Listen and speak from the heart with kindness, honesty, and vulnerability. Listen closely to the details with sensitivity to all that is said and unsaid.
5- Use questions to steer and focus the conversation.
- 13S5A: You can anchor the conversation with one or more of the following questions. You don’t have to go through all of them. You can also come up with your own questions or topics that resonate with you.
- 13S5B: What are my strongest attributes? What are my hidden attributes? How can I bring them out more?
- 13S5C: How can I better be of service to others?
- 13S5D: What talents and qualities am I not seeing or undervaluing about myself?
- 13S5E: What are some ways my talents and abilities match up with the needs of others, in community or individually, on a large or small scale?
- 13S5E: How can I engage with others and the community in ways that are of service while nurturing my self-worth, agency, and well-being?
- 13S5G: What might be in the way? Where might I be getting stuck?
- 13S5H: What are some simple, practical steps to begin?
How to practice it over time:
- Do this several times over the coming weeks and months. Try to make it a regular practice, every week or two.
- Create a small community of conversation partners with three to five different people. Keep the conversations one-on-one, and schedule different conversations with different people.
- Let everyone know you are creating a conversation community to support growth and empowerment.
- The people may be mentors, friends, or peers. A combination of different types is probably best for you and them.
- You may find this evolving naturally into an ongoing activity.
- Consider making notes to reflect on between conversations and your reflections. This may help with personal insights and can be brought into further conversations. Your partner(s) may want to do this also.
- Avoid getting caught up in a project mentality. Getting too focused on trying to “create an impact” or “be successful,” or on trying to change or fix yourself will take you away from the real purpose and potential of this exercise.
Benefits of this exercise:
The purpose of this exercise is to recruit other people to reflect and help you recognize your own goodness, things that you may be having a hard time seeing or being confident in. It also finds ways to engage with communities that are nourishing to you and others.
This exercise itself strengthens the vital bonds of healthy relationships and draws on their power to help illuminate and reinforce your sense of self-worth. This can be a mutually beneficial tool to co-create healthy, supportive community environments that support wellbeing for people in general.
Self-esteem is an inside job, but it is also a relational, community based experience. If not, it becomes pride and arrogance that separates you from others rather than fostering connection.
The purpose of this exercise is not to fix or improve yourself. Nor is it to come up with projects that you attach your self-worth to. The purpose of this exercise is simply to engage in meaningful authentic interactions with other people that mutually reveal the innate human value you each possess. And in doing so, to develop this as a skill so that you can widen the circle and find more ways to do the same thing.
You are getting a better view of your own qualities, helping others do the same, and building a mutually supportive community at the same time!
Love & Belonging-81-100%-15 (Lakshay)
15- Being Love
What you need to begin:
- Time and space to reflect on your life.
- El bolígrafo y el papel son opcionales.
Steps:
- As you grow and mature in your journey of Self-Actualization and Integration, your understanding of love changes.
Normally, we think of love as something we have or don’t have.
- 15S1A: We feel love for some people and not others. It’s something we give and receive.
- 15S1B: Because love is precious, we feel vulnerable and expect something in return.
- 15S1C: When our basic needs are unmet, we struggle with self-doubt and insecurity, feel lonely and disconnected, or are stuck and confused about our life path. So it is natural to think of love as something we need to receive from others.
- 15S1D: All things need love to be healthy and flourish, and that’s an irrefutable fact.
- 15S1E: Share love in higher levels of wholeness and integration. Once that is done, you begin to see that love is everywhere, within and without, just waiting to be discovered and uncovered.
- 15S1F: Love is not something you do that requires a special effort. It’s something that can be “fixed” about you, or someone else.
- 15S1G: The hard part, the work, is not the act of love itself or in Be-ing Love. It’s in seeing, acknowledging, and removing the obstacles that obstruct its flow and prevent you from connecting with it.
- 15S1H: True Love is not finite or conditional. It’s an essential quality of being that can either flow freely or be obstructed.
- 15S1I: True love emerges naturally as a spontaneous expression of authentic being when we let go of artificial attempts to be something extra—to add to what we already are.
- At this stage of development in Love & Belonging, the idea of self-improvement gets in the way. It’s about Be-ing.
- 15S2A: You might think you have to keep working to grow and improve, or you will stagnate. At earlier stages, that’s a helpful idea, but at this stage, it’s a mistake.
- 15S2B: This “improvement” will actually cause stagnation by perpetuating a way of being that you are ready to move beyond.
- 15S2C: Trusting in the simplicity of Authentic Being and the effortless flow of unconditional love opens a path of endless unfolding, magical discovery, and ever-deepening connection.
- The highest love, called Agape in Greek, is selfless and unconditional.
- 15S3A: Selflessness comes spontaneously from Authentic Presence, not through effort. It’s not based on the identity, labels, or stories of the artificially constructed self.
- 15S3B: Unconditional – it’s directed toward the Authentic Self of the other, from a deep state of compassion, and comes from one’s Authentic Self. Therefore, seeing beyond the labels, stories, and behaviors of the Artificial Self, it considers all beings as equally worthy of love.
- 15S3C: Selfless love is not self-sacrificing or in conflict with self-love because it goes beyond separation.
- 15S3D: Knowing your deep connection with others, both superficially and in Authentic Being, reveals that separation is an illusion. Loving others is loving yourself.
- 15S3E: This isn’t just a spiritual concept. It’s demonstrated clearly by modern physics, biology, ecology, economics, and psychology.
- When you BE LOVE, you will never be without love.
- 15S4A: People will feel loved in your presence and naturally feel love and gratitude.
- 15S4B: You will receive love in abundance and never have to worry about running out.
- 15S4C: But your love experience will not depend on ‘receiving love’ from others—it will be unconditional. It doesn’t come from within or without. It just is.
- 15S4D: It’s like the ocean. The whole ocean is water, yet there are currents in the ocean. Like the water of the ocean, love is everywhere and yet moves from one person to another, just as the water in the ocean keeps moving.
- 15S4E: You can experience love as a pervasive reality y as something shared between people.
- Now that you’ve had a glimpse of what it means to “Be Love,”
Let go into the flow.
- 15S5A: Step into the stream of life. Stop trying to hold onto the water and control the outcomes. Stop trying to fix or heal other people. Stop viewing the world and other people in terms of what you can get or what needs to change.
- 15S5B: Let go into the flow as water into water and see how you can help things to unfold as they should be for the greatest benefit.
- 15S5C: “Change” may be needed, but instead of withholding love until your expectations are met, embody love unconditionally to bring change. See it as the medicine that brings healing and growth.
- 15S5D: Imagine yourself as the Sun.
The Sun gives light and warmth to all beings impartially. It does not tell them how to grow. It simply gives them what they need to grow within their unique conditions.
- 15S5E: Imagine yourself as the Earth.
The soil and environment out of which all things grow. Every living being, all forms of life, and all things—animate and inanimate—are the infinitely diverse, ever-changing forms of the Earth. They are distinct from it but never separate from it. The Earth holds all life within itself.
- 15S5F: Imagine yourself as Water. Water nourishes all life, combining with soil, air, and light to make life possible. It cannot do everything alone, but water gives itself freely. Nothing can replace it.
- 15S5G: Imagine yourself as Air. The breath of life. All plants and animals are like a giant lung breathing the same air. What one breathes out, another breathes in to live, and vice versa. We are constantly immersed in a sea of air. We would die within a few minutes if we were ever separated from it.
6- Being Love is like being the Sun, Earth, Water, and Air.
- 15S6A: They do not judge the plants and animals that use them or how they use them. They don’t withhold themselves from any. They give freely to all, unconditionally. This is the universal aspect of love.
- 15S6B: Each of the above elements provides something essential, but none is complete without the other. They are one in their universal aspect but unique in what they each provide. Life depends on all of them working together.
- 15S6C: This is the unique, personal aspect of love.
Being Love doesn’t mean being all things to all people.
- 15S6D: Like the elements, you have the power and responsibility to embody the universal and the unique, personal aspects of love by being unconditionally present with others and sharing your unique gifts freely, without bias or judgment.
- 15S6E: You are not responsible and do not have the power to control your love’s outcome, fix others, or “change” the world.
- 15S6F: You don’t need to try to be different or give what you don’t have. The sun doesn’t try to be the Earth. Water doesn’t try to be the Sun.
- 15S6G: Give what is yours to give freely.
Outcomes depend on many other conditions beyond what you can offer alone, just as the elements. But what you have to offer is essential.
- 15S6H: Whether you choose to give or withhold, it makes a profound difference to each person and situation. It matters!
7- Here are some simple guidelines to do this practically.
Attention is Love
- 15S7A: Simply paying attention is the most powerful and meaningful gift you can give.
- 15S7B: Being Love means being universally, unconditionally present, without judgment. In given attention this way, a person is held and cared for—a situation is looked after.
- 15S7C: This is the first and most important gift. All others flow from here. Even if there is nothing else you can offer, this alone makes the healing power of love available.
- 15S7D: By noticing what is happening more accurately, you will be better able to see what may be needed. Whether it is something you can provide, and what response, if any, on your part may be helpful.
- 15S7E: If something needs doing within your capacity, you will simply do it.
- 15S7F: If nothing needs doing or there is nothing concrete you can do, you will not feel the need to force something just to feel useful. Continuing to give your attention is love.
How to practice over time:
- Review this exercise once or twice a week.
- Contemplate their unconditional generosity and the unique qualities of the elements as aspects of yourself.
- Your non-judgemental presence, attention, and willingness to be available are the unconditional generosity of the elements.
- The elements express themselves through you as the unique, personal aspect of your response to each situation you encounter.
- Contemplate what it means to Be Love.
- Expand this quality of being to people you know and don’t know, like and don’t like, love and hate, whole cities, nations, and all the beings of the planet.
- Hold all kinds of challenging situations people may face (at local, community, organizational, regional, and global levels) within the Being of Love.
Benefits of this exercise:
Rather than stepping beyond yourself, you will discover that your greatest power is found by settling within yourself—simply being who you are and sharing yourself with others.
You can put boundaries and limits on your attention and love, or you can choose to make it boundless. When you put restrictions on your love, you put restrictions on yourself. As long as we believe in separation, love will always be an effort—a doing—and you will have to choose between self and others.
With an abundance of love in your life, your needs for belonging and acceptance will be fully satisfied. It’s what you offer to others that brings endless meaning and fulfillment.
By loving all people in all situations, you will be open to experiencing love yourself. You will experience more and more the possibility and the reality of Being Love. There is no higher purpose or calling in life. You can offer no greater service or gift to the world or yourself. Every other good thing flows naturally from this.
# **Autorrealización- 0-20% – 1**
# **1. Descubriendo lo que ya hay aquí**
–
* 01S3B- ¿Cómo vivió el entorno exterior?
– 01S4A- No intente formular oraciones completas.
* 02S1F: Respire naturalmente.
– Deje de hacer lo único que se separa de su verdadero yo natural;
* ¿Quién es… realmente?
* o3S8D: En particular,
– 04S4B: No retroceder hacia adentro.

“Ojalá no hubiera sucedido”. “Me gustaría poder borrarlo o deshacerlo”.
Sea amable consigo mismo.

* 07S2B: Estado, fama, poder
* 07S2E: Amor (dar y recibir)
– 07S2F: Conexión
* 07S2G: Honestidad
– 07S2H: Generosidad
* 07S2I: Amabilidad
* Un auto caro
* Ropa de diseñador
* Dinero
* Buena salud
* Tranquilidad
*Agua potable limpia
* Un lugar seguro para vivir
* Relaciones significativas

* 09S4B:
* 09S4H:

* 12S1H: Buen sueño, dieta y ejercicio.
*Prácticas de respiración y conciencia corporal.
* Estar alerta y activar todas las percepciones sensoriales.
* Estar en la naturaleza.
– 12S4A: No interrumpas.
Sea honesto y sincero, confiado y vulnerable.
